Setup help

Turn on your microphone and meeting audio

To help you during a call, Edisyn needs to hear both sides — your voice and the meeting audio. That takes three quick permissions:

  1. 1Microphone
  2. 2Screen & System Audio Recording
  3. 3System Audio Recording Only

The pictures below show exactly where each one is.

Your microphone

Step 1 — in Privacy & Security, select Microphone.
Step 2 — switch Edisyn on in the Microphone list.

Meeting audio

Step 3 — in Privacy & Security, select Screen & System Audio Recording.
Step 4 — if Edisyn is not listed, click the plus button, find Edisyn, and click Open.
Step 5 — switch Edisyn on in both audio lists.

Permissions enabled — you’re ready to use Edisyn.

On Windows

Windows does not ask for these permissions. Just make sure the speaker or headphones you hear the meeting through is set as your output device (right click the speaker near the clock → Sound settings). Edisyn hears whatever your computer plays.

Still only hearing yourself?

Double check that Edisyn is switched on in all three permissions above, then quit Edisyn and open it again. Write to support@edisyn.io if it still is not working and tell us what you see. We will sort it out with you.
